Another example of excellence… and blessings

Look at a clock — six minutes ago was not that long ago… It’s about the time it takes most of us to get from our desk to our car at work…

So much can happen in so little time — so much depends on the skills and temperament of those we rely upon, the same skills we take for granted until they are needed…

There are many unsung heroes from yesterday’s crash into the Hudson — the trainers that instruct the flight attendants, the training that both pilot and co-pilots receive, the constant drills that the instructors send them through…

The likelihood that something would happen that would require the flight attendants and pilots to utilize all that training — well, mathematically it is very low.. The likelihood that all that training would pay off should they need to utilize all that training — very high….

There are 155 families — presuming everyone was from a different family — that are VERY grateful for the difference the training made for the 5 employees aboard flight 1549, including the families of the employees themselves.

There are customers that will curse the flight attendants and sometimes the pilots, the gate agents, the TSA agents at security… They get cursed for the slightest thing that wouldn’t matter a hoot not even 5 minutes down the ramp.

Having flown more than one million miles, I for one am extremely grateful for all these employees and see the teeth grinding smiles they usually maintain when not respected they way they should be…

And I for one want to thank all of the employees of all airlines for the dedication, seriousness and focus they take their job… They get it…

Our lives depend on them…
